I'm coming back on Tuesday, August 4. My flight gets in around 3:30. I plan to make a beeline to the Outback on West end if anyone wants to meet me for a drink. I'm assuming of course that the outback on West End is still there. Someone please email me if it is not.
It's hard to believe I'm coming home in just 12 days. Traveling for a year has been absolutely great and I wouldn't trade my experiences for anything, but I'm really ready to get back. I would equate it to eating 12 pieces of a really good a pie. The first three were really great. The second three were really great. The last few have been good, but it's the 12th piece! It's time to push away from the table. I'm looking forward to seeing my own country, to see how it's changed, to see how I've changed.
I need to update the blog for Europe, but it probably won't happen until I get home. I've been in Europe since June 10, mostly in Eastern Europe. I've been to Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania and am currently in Spain. I will be in Spain for a little over a week and then I will go to Dublin, Ireland. From there I will fly home.
I've have been accepted to the Executive Masters in Healthcare Administration program at the University of Washington, which will begin in late September. I'll be looking for a job in that part of the country as well. I'm really looking forward to getting started with the program. But I'm looking forward more to spending some time with friends and family, going to all my favorite restaurants, and getting caught up on a year's worth of TV.
